Trust Chord
A plain agreement, here because work starts only when both sides sign a scope.

Trust Chord How a call actually starts.

What these pages are, what a booked hour is, and when work begins. Effective 7 October 2026.

Who these terms are with.

Services on this site are provided by Steven Palmieri, Dallas, Texas. Using this site means you accept what is on this page. What we will not sign is set out on the disclosures page, and those limits are part of these terms.

What the pages are.

Everything published here is general information for a firm that wants the trust bank and the liability to agree. It is not advice about your own numbers. Reading it does not make you a client. Rules change and land differently on different facts, so confirm anything that matters for your return before you act on it.

A booked hour is a conversation.

The time you book creates no engagement, no ongoing duty, and no obligation on either side. We will say what we see in the trust bank and the liability, and what an engagement would involve, including when the honest answer is that you do not need one yet. Work begins only when both of us sign a written engagement that names the scope and the fee.

Scope and fees.

Every engagement is defined in writing before it starts. The fee matches that scope. Anything outside it is quoted before it is done. Either of us may end an engagement in writing. You remain responsible for fees earned to that date, and your records come back to you.

What the work needs from you.

The trust bank is only as useful as the records it is built on. You are responsible for complete records, for what sits in your own file, and for the decisions you make. We will tell you when the trust bank and the liability disagree, and we will not call a month finished while those totals are still apart.

The site itself.

The words, layouts, and images belong to the practice that publishes them. You may read them, print them, and quote them if you name the source. You may not republish the site or use it to train a product without written permission.

The site is provided as it is. We keep it accurate and available. We do not promise it will never be wrong or never be down. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

Where a dispute is heard.

If a dispute has to be heard, it is heard under Texas law in a court in Dallas County.

When these terms change.

The date at the top of this page moves when the terms change. A change does not reach back and rewrite an engagement both of us have already signed. The signed page is the one that governs that work.
